Is your website fast? This can lose customers who wont wait, and also search engines rank based on speed. There are many factors that can contribute to this; hosting, image size, WordPress theme, site not optimised, plugins, backend not kept updated. Theres a lot to it but if kept on top of it and invested in a little it can greatly improve things.
Are your contact details easily accessible, Contact link in menu, email and phone at top of page when user lands, again having these details in the footer. These days website visitors are very impatient and if they can't find your contact details easily they will leave.
Do all your pages have the menu at the top (or the side). Are the page names in the menu obvious what they are. Does your menu follow with the page as the visitors scrolls.
Do you use an email like john.b.murphy1982@outlook.com?Wouldn't john.murphy@yourdomainname.com look better, easier to remember and type, and most of all it gets your business name out there in peoples minds.
Is your website still showing special offers or events from months and years ago? This will give visitors the impression that you are no longer in business. Refreshing things also gives opportunities to post links to social media.
If your blogs show dates posted, are they from years ago? This can make visitors and search engines think you are no longer in business. If you don't have time or content to add new blogs, you can update the date posted to a more recent date.But new blogs gives opportunities to post new links to social media, to bring users to the website.
If you are using a personal Facebook page for your business its only a matter of time before Facebook remove it. It also doesn't give professional look especially if you also post personal things. It also lacks branding and reminding the customer about your business.
Do you have your social media accounts linked in your menu, footer and contact page? People like to see your are a legit business and this helps with regular activity on social media. Have you picked your vanity URLs? Do you have your website linked on your social accounts?
This is as important as your website, it helps to rank your site in search results, and gives people a good impression on your business. Depending on your business you can also ask previous customers for reviews, which again helps in ranking and visitor confidence.
